    GAZA CITY: Determined Palestinians clutching pots and plastic buckets scrambled for rice at a charity kitchen in Gaza Metropolis on Saturday (Aug 23), a day after the United Nations declared a famine in the war-battered territory.

    AFP footage from Gaza’s largest metropolis, which Israel plans to grab as a part of an expanded army offensive, confirmed girls and younger youngsters among the many chaotic jostle of dozens clamouring and shouting for meals. 

    One younger boy used his fingers to scrape just a few leftover grains from the within of a cooking vat. One other younger woman sat on the sting of a tent and scooped rice from a plastic bag on the bottom. 

    “Now we have no house left, no meals, no revenue… so we’re compelled to show to charity kitchens, however they don’t fulfill our starvation,” mentioned Yousef Hamad, 58, who was displaced from the northern metropolis of Beit Hanoun.
