Re: “Ruff riders: Sound Transit will soon allow dogs on board” (July 25, A1):

Though offering mass transit alternate options to rising car visitors is admirable, I questioned the place precisely Sound Transit CEO Dow Constantine and members of the company’s governing board have been dwelling for the previous 35 years to even ponder that canine homeowners will adjust to the leash legislation on Sound Transit on their solution to the Marymoor Park off-leash space. Have they not heard in regards to the canine fights created by canine walkers with 15-20 canine on the Magnuson Park off-leash space?

And I ponder if Constantine and board members have ever truly taken Sound Transit when there may be an occasion at Seattle Middle or a Seahawks sport. People are packed like sardines; it’s a lot to ask a canine to behave properly in such a circumstance. It would properly set off canine as firecrackers do.

Just one carriage needs to be reserved for the ultra-privileged species — canine; the remainder for the underprivileged species — homo sapiens.

Permitting canine homeowners and walkers on Sound Transit will discourage folks from taking Sound Transit. There are already a number of causes to keep away from public transportation — like saving your life.
