    Amid Air India probe, US FAA and Boeing notify fuel switch locks are safe

    ALPA India, which represents Indian pilots on the Montreal-based Worldwide Federation of Air Line Pilots’ Associations, in an announcement on Saturday (Jun 12) rejected the presumption of pilot error and known as for a “honest, fact-based inquiry”.

    “The pilots physique should now be made a part of the probe, at the least as observers,” ALPA India President Sam Thomas advised Reuters on Sunday.

    ALPA India, in a letter posted on X, mentioned the preliminary investigation report referred to the 2018 FAA advisory “in regards to the gas management change gates, which signifies a possible gear malfunction”.

    John Cox, a pilot and former ALPA US consultant, mentioned AAIB’s report appeared goal and honest.
