    Moscow blames sanctions for Russia-UN food deal collapse

    MOSCOW: Russia mentioned on Saturday (Jul 12) that its settlement with the United Nations to facilitate exports of Russian meals and fertilisers had collapsed attributable to Western sanctions over Moscow’s offensive in Ukraine.

    A day earlier, the UN mentioned the three-year settlement, signed in 2022 in a bid to rein in international meals costs, would finish on Jul 22.
