    Japan PM says won’t ‘easily compromise’ to Trump on tariffs

    TOKYO: Japan’s Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba mentioned on Sunday (Jul 6) that he will not “simply compromise” in talks with Washington as Tokyo seeks to avert United States President Donald Trump’s menace to impose tariffs of as much as 35 per cent on Japanese items.

    “We is not going to simply compromise. That is why it’s taking time and why it’s powerful,” Ishiba instructed a tv discuss present.

    His feedback got here as Japan rushes to barter with the Trump administration earlier than the Wednesday deadline for commerce offers.
