    Faishal Ibrahim ‘agrees with’ ex-Israeli PM that Israel is committing war crimes in Gaza

    “DEEPLY PAINFUL” SITUATION

    “In recent times, the main focus within the Center East has been Palestine,” Assoc Prof Faishal stated, including: “The state of affairs there, particularly in Gaza, is deeply painful. The struggling of the Palestinian civilians within the occupied territories, together with kids, is insufferable.”

    Singapore Prime Minister Lawrence Wong stated on Friday that Israel may be breaching international law by restricting humanitarian aid to Gaza.

    In a joint press convention with French President Emmanuel Macron, Mr Wong stated that Israel’s response to the Hamas attack on Oct 7, 2023, had “gone too far” and that its actions had induced a “horrible humanitarian catastrophe”.

    “In our opinion, it could even be a probable breach of worldwide humanitarian legislation. So it can’t be justified,” he stated.

    Assoc Prof Faishal stated: “(Mr Wong) stated plainly that Israel has gone too far in its actions. 

    “Specifically, the restrictions it has imposed on the supply of humanitarian provides to Gaza are utterly unacceptable. Within the opinion of the Singapore authorities, Israel’s actions are more likely to be in breach of worldwide humanitarian legislation.”

    Assoc Prof Faishal additionally famous that the federal government had joined different nations in strongly urging a right away ceasefire, the safety of civilian lives, the return of hostages and the unhindered supply of humanitarian help.

    He added that he was “grateful that leaders like Madam Halimah Yacob have spoken concerning the disaster in Gaza and have helped all Singaporeans consider the tragedy with compassion and style”.
