    The US Treasury introduced the sanctions on Thursday, saying that they’re aimed toward Iran’s “oil community”.

    The measures focused companies, ships and people affiliated with corporations already sanctioned by the US. Beneath former US President Joe Biden, the US routinely issued such penalties to implement current sanctions.

    “America is dedicated to aggressively focusing on any try by Iran to safe funding for these malign actions.”

    Iran has lengthy rejected sanctions in opposition to its oil sector and efforts to confiscate its exports as “piracy”.

    The Treasury mentioned the sanctions embody “entities and people in a number of jurisdictions”, together with China, India, and the United Arab Emirates.
