    EU summons Russian envoy, eyes sanctions after Germany drone ‘attack’

    WICKLOW, Eire: The European Union on Wednesday (Sep 2) stated it had summoned Russia’s high diplomat because it eyed sanctions after a drone incident in Germany that the bloc’s international coverage chief stated bore the marks of “state-sponsored terrorism”.

    The incident involving an explosive-laden drone at Leipzig airport has heightened fears over a sabotage marketing campaign that the EU and NATO say is a Russian try to destabilise Ukraine’s backers.
